Brunswick, Maine - UMaine-Farmington women's cross country team competed today in the 6k race at the Bowdoin Invitational coming in fifth out of eight teams and just one point from fourth place and only ten points from third.
Katie Leblanc came in first for UMF and 9th overall with a time of 23:49. Laura Pulito came in second for the Beavers women's team with a time of 24:29 placing 15th out of 89 runners. Gwen Baker ran a time of 25:39, finishing third for the women. Chloe Kenyon (27:13) and Molly Jack (27:39) rounded out the scoring for the Beavers.
The team will split next weekend with part of the team running at the Colby 3k on Friday and the other part running at St. Joseph's College on Saturday.
