BANGOR, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team finished second as a team at the 2015 North Atlantic Conference Championship, hosted by Husson University at Saxl Park.
Laura Pulito crossed the line in sixth place at 21:58.97, which was only four seconds away from claiming a top five spot. Emma Pidden followed in tenth place with an overall time of 22:14.70. Alisha Labbe also had a strong finish for UMF in 12th place at 22:23.15. Hannah Emery finished in 15th for the squad at 22:34.62. Emily Franklin rounded out UMF's scoring with a top 35 finish out of 105 qualified racers.
The Beavers wrapped up the 5k championship meet with 59 point to solidify the second place spot. UMF topped Castleton by 41 points with Colby-Sawyer claiming the title with 30 points. Colby-Sawyer had three racers finish in the top five.
UMaine-Farmington will compete in the NCAA Regional Championship on Saturday, November 14 at Connecticut College.
