WRENTHAM, Mass. – Laura Pulito led the University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team, who placed third overall in the team standings at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday.
Pulito raced her way to an 11th place finish with an overall time of 20:14 after averaging a 6:30 mile. Emma Pidden had another strong day with a 20th place spot and a time of 20:47. Alisha Labbe also grabbed a top 40 spot after crossing the line at 21:27.
UMF had a very strong showing with a third place finish in the team standings. The Beavers grabbed the third spot with 109 points, only one ahead of Rhode Island College. The University of New England ran away with the title with 18 points.
UMaine-Farmington it's the course again on October 10 at the St. Joseph's Runnin' Monks Invitational.
