Bowdoin Invitational – UMaine-Farmington's women's track and field team competed at Bowdoin College on Saturday in a non-scoring meet.
Tawnee Roberts and Paige Ireland got things started in the 60-meter dash with times of 9.45 and 9.83. Roberts and Ireland then ran the 200-meter dash with times of 32.48 and 33.75. Charlotte Allard ran the 800-meter run with a time of 3.23.09 with Tabitha Lingar taking second place in the 1000-meter run with a time of 4:26.96. Katie LeBlanc took first place in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18.35.05 which is five minutes better than the second-place finisher.
Sophie Taylor took first place in the high jump with a distance of 1.36-meters followed by a second-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.06-meters.
Jennasea Hubbard and Jessica Brink each threw the shot put with distances of 9.81-meters and 9.78-meters. Emily Hargreaves, Amber McKenzie, Stephanie McLean, and Brianna Reece each threw the shot put.
Jessica Brink took fifth place in the weight throw with a distance of 11.28-meters.
The Beavers will be back in action at Plymouth State University on February 8th.
