Beavers Take Third in Opening Meet

Plymouth, N.H. – UMaine-Farmington's track and field team battled for third place in their opening meet at Plymouth State University with a total of 68 points. Sophie Taylor took 10th place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.86 as Tawnee Roberts took 15th place with a time of 9.37.

Tabitha Lingar ran the 400-meter dash for a time of 1:31.70 followed by a time of 4:47 in the 1000-meter dash. Nomi Moulton took second place in the 3000-meter run with a time of 12:55.93 followed by Katie LeBlanc taking first place in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:05.76.

Paige Ireland took 6th place in the 60-meter hurdles as Sophie took third place in the high jump with a distance of 1.47-meters. Jennasea Hubbard took 7th place in the shot put with a distance of 9.76-meters followed by Jessica Brink with a distance of 9.56 -meters.   


The Beavers will be back in action next weekend at the University of Southern Maine.
