  • Five placed on All-NAC teams; Wilkie named NAC Coach of the Year

    Five University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer student-athletes earned All-North Atlantic Conference honors as announced by the NAC today. Senior forward Katie Cray (Richmond, Maine) and freshman midfielder Kayla Tuttle (Waterville, Maine) were named to the All-NAC First Team, while junior back Jennifer Richter (Lamoine, Maine) along with sophomore defenders Renee Brown (Schenectady, N.Y.) and Logan Faulkingham (St. Louis, Mo.) received All-NAC Second Team distinction.

    The Eagles (14-5-1) are scheduled to visit top-ranked Castleton State College Saturday for the NAC crown. Game time to be announced. The Beavers ended their season at 9-8-1.

    University of Maine at Farmington freshman midfielder Kayla Tuttle (Waterville, Maine) earned North Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week as announced by the conference today. Tuttle helped the Beavers to a 2-0 week with three goals and two assists. The freshman notched two goals and an assist in a 5-0 NAC win at Thomas and a goal and an assist in a 3-0 NAC victory over Maine Maritime.
  • Women's soccer topples MMA in regular-season finale

    Katie Cray (Richmond, Maine) scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team to a 3-0 North Atlantic Conference win over Maine Maritime Academy today at Prescott Field. The Beavers finished their regular season at 9-7-1 (6-1 NAC) and earned the second seed in the NAC tournament. Farmington is scheduled to host the winner of Husson University/Thomas College on Oct. 30 in semifinal action.

    Kayla Tuttle (Waterville, Maine) scored twice and Melanie Schanck (Richmond, Maine) tallied a goal and two assists as the University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team rolled past Thomas College 5-0 in North Atlantic Conference action at Alumni Field. The Beavers (8-7-1, 5-1) are scheduled to close out the regular season when they host Maine Maritime Saturday at 1 p.m.

    University of Maine at Farmington freshman midfielder Kayla Tuttle (Waterville, Maine) collected North Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week honors as announced by the conference this evening. Tuttle helped the Beavers to a pair of NAC victories with three assists. The freshman played every minute in Farmington's wins over Johnson State (2-1) and Lyndon (2-0).

    Alida Peake (Penobscot, Maine) netted a pair of goals as the University of Maine at Farmington defeated Lyndon State College 2-0 in North Atlantic Conference women's soccer action today at Prescott Field. The Beavers (7-7-1 overall) ran their record to 4-1 in the NAC with a trip to Thomas College Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. game.

    The University of Maine at Farmington netted a pair of first-half goals and held Johnson State College to zero shots in the second half as the Beavers dispatched the Badgers 2-1 in North Atlantic Conference women's soccer action today at Prescott Field The Beavers (6-7-1, 3-1) are scheduled to host Lyndon State College Sunday at noon.

The Beavers (5-5-1) are scheduled to visit Bates College Wednesday for a 3:30 p.m. match. The Bengals (12-2) are tabbed to take on Fisher College Oct. 24 in Fort Kent.

    Aimee St. Germain (Gorham, Maine) cashed in a Renee Dupre (Rehoboth, Mass.) corner kick at 99:13 to lift the University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team to a 1-0 overtime win over University of Maine at Machias today in non-conference competition at Prescott Field. Farmington (4-3-1) is scheduled to visit Bowdoin College Sunday at noon. The Clippers (4-6) are slated to host University of Maine at Presque Isle Saturday at 3 p.m.

Farmington (3-2-1, 1-0) is scheduled to take on Castleton State College Sunday at 2 p.m. in Castleton, Vt.

    In a matchup of former North Atlantic Conference counterparts, the University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team dropped Wheelock College 7-1 today at Winsor Field. The Beavers (2-2-1) are slated to travel to Vermont next weekend to face Green Mountain College on Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m. and Castleton State College on Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. The Wildcats remain winless through five contests.

The Beavers (1-2-1) are scheduled to visit Wheelock College Saturday at 1 p.m.

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team dropped to 0-1-1 with a 4-0 non-conference loss at St. Joseph's College this afternoon. The Beavers are scheduled to host their home opener on Sunday against Rivier College. The match is tabbed for a 2:30 p.m. start.

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team played Maine Maritime Academy to a 0-0 deadlock in the Beavers' season opener today in non-conference action at Ritchie Field. The Beavers (0-1-1) are scheduled to visit St. Joseph's College Thursday. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start. The tie for the Lady Mariners improved their overall record to 0-1-1 on the year.
  • Women's soccer to kick off season Sunday

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team is scheduled to open its 2010 campaign with a non-conference match against North Atlantic Conference foe Maine Maritime Academy. The women's match is at noon with the men's game to follow. The team is currently under the direction of interim head coach Jamie Beaudoin as third-year coach Molly Wilkie opens the season on maternity leave. In 2009, the Beavers went 8-10-1 (3-3-1 in the NAC) and reached the conference semifinals. In the losses, Farmington scored one goal total.
