Beavers Soar Over Badgers on Senior Day

 Waterville, Maine – UMaine Farmington won their third straight game on Saturday night on the campus of Thomas College against Johnson State by a score of 19-4 on Bernatchez Field.


The Beavers move to 8-3 and 6-2 in the conference while the Badgers fall to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in the NAC.

How it Happened

Johnson St. got on the board quick and early when Nichole Weeks scored in the opening 40 seconds. Jaclyn Langevin came right back three minutes later to score one of her own. The Beavers went on to score 13 unanswered goals to take a 13-one lead until Weeks scored again for the Badgers.

Carly Raymond reached a milestone near the end of the first half when Alaina Shorey scored with Raymond on the assist. With that assist, Carly Raymond now has 100 career points. The junior attack now has 20 goals and 19 assists on the year.

Samantha Bickford notched her eighth win of the year while also playing attack in the second half.

The Beavers held command in almost every stat category with a 31-8 margin in ground balls and an 18-5 margin in draw controls. The Beavers also outshot the Badgers 38-5.
