Bangor, ME – The UMaine Farmington Beavers traveled to Bangor on Friday night, playing the Husson Eagles at Newman Gymnasium. The Beavers showed effort throughout the contest, but the Eagles won in the end 71-53.
In the Box:
- McKenna Brodeur led the Beavers attack with 17 points on 5-15 shooting, as well as 6-7 from the free-throw line. Brodeur battled all night on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds, including three offensive rebounds.
- Alex Bessey was the next high point scorer for the Beavers with 15 points. Bessey had her mark all over this game, collecting four rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
- Molly Folsom had a good all-around performance as well. Folsom had four points, three rebounds, and tied with a game-high five assists.
- Emma Alley led the way for the Eagles, scoring a team-high 16 points on 5-14 shooting, including 4-6 from three-point range. Joan Overman, Sydney Allen, and Bailey Donovan all had 10 points each for the Husson Eagles.
The Beavers have a quick turnaround, coming back to Farmington to host the Maine Maritime Academy Mariners tomorrow afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
