Nordic Finishes Strong at Regionals

Jericho, VT – UMaine Farmington Nordic Ski teams finished three races this weekend in the ECSC Regionals. The 5K Classic and the Skate Sprint were on Saturday while the 15K Skate finished Sunday afternoon. 

Nordic Ski Teams finished this weekend's races with the men finishing in third place with a total score of 121 while the women's team finished in sixth place with a total score of 179.

Men – Jordan Fried finished first for UMF in the 15K, 19th overall with a time of 54:37. Carter Veilleux finished second for the Beavers with a total time of 57:11. Connor Marland rounded out the top 40 with a time of 1:13:02.

Thomas Wing finished the Classic 5K in 15th place and took 13th place in the Skate Sprint while Jordan Fried took 10th place in the Skate Sprint.

Overall the Beavers scored 47 points in the 5K Classic, 31 points in the Skate Spring, 43 points in the 15K which gave the men a total of 121 points.

Women – Alisha Labbe finished in 16th place in the 15K race with a total time of 1:02:53, individually, Labbe took 15th place with a finish of 15th place in the Skate Sprint and 22nd place finish in the 5K Classic. Cora Curtis finished in 32nd place overall with a finish in 27th place in the 5K Classic, 29th place finish in the Skate Spring and finished in 22nd place in the 15K.

The Beavers scored 64 points in the 5K Classic, 58 points in the Skate Sprint and 57 points which gave the team a total of 179 points.
