Farmington, ME- UMaine Farmington's snow sports finished the weekend at Sugarloaf today with both men's and women's teams having top five finishes.
The Nordic women's team had one racer, Alisha Labbe finished in first place in the 5k with a time of 23 minutes and 12 seconds. Labbe also finished in second place in the short sprint with a time of five minutes and 42 seconds.
The men's team had Thomas Wing finish in first place in the 5k with a time of 18:33 and finish in third place with a time of five minutes and 27 seconds in the short sprint. Bryce Neal finished in third place for the 5k and finished in second place in the short sprint.
Bates won the event for both men and women with scores of eight and nine on the women's side and scores of 11 and 10 on the men's side.
The Alpine ski team also raced at Sugarloaf, Jedediah Stevens leading the way for the Beavers on the men's team, finishing in seventh place with times of 56.19 and 56.32 which gave him a total time of 1:52.51.
Kyle Farrington rounded out the top 10 with times of 57.53 and 6.41 for a total time of 1:53.94.
Kyle Poison won the race for Bates with times of 53.56 and 54.13 which gave him a total time of 1:47.69 to finish in first place.
The women's team was led by Paige Butterfield as she finished in eighth place with times 1:04.00 in her first race and 1:06.31 in her second run which gave Butterfield a total time of 2:10.31.
Collette Gould finished in first place for Colby with times of 55.83 and 57.97 which gave Gould a total time of 1:53.80.
