Jacques Places Ninth at USCSA Regional Championship

GREENWOOD, Maine -- University of Maine at Farmington senior alpine skier Lindsey Jacques (Jay, Maine/Spruce Mountain) placed ninth overall at the 2016 United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Alpine Regional Championships this weekend at Mt. Abram.

In Saturday's giant slalom race, Jacques came in 18th place out of 46 qualified racers. The senior's combined time was 1:18.20 and earned 81.44 race points. 

In Sunday's slalom race, she placed 14th overall with a total time of 1:22.94 and 44.13 race points.

Between the two races, Jacques' overall point total came to 122.35 for the top ten finish.

UMaine-Farmington will release participants in the 2016 USCSA National Championship on Thursday. The USCSA National Championship takes place on March 8-12 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
