LeMay and Keenhold Medal at Sunday's Snowboard/Skiercross at Sunday River

NEWRY, Maine –  The University of Maine at Farmington snowboard team had two racers earn a gold medal in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard (USCSA) Snowboard and Skiercross race at Sunday River on Sunday afternoon.

Whitney LeMay (Woodbridge, Va./Home School) won the women's open class event with 1,010 points and a score of 55.62. 

In the men's ski race, 19-29 age group, Vaughn Keenhold (Braintree, Vt./Randolph Union) grabbed a gold medal with a first place finish. Keenhold claimed 1,010 points and scored 52.04 in the event.

UMaine-Farmington will compete in the 2016 USCSA National Championships in Lake Placid, N.Y. from March 8-12.
