UMF Snowboard Closes 2016 with a Pair of Medals at Sugarloaf

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington snowboarders Angelica Horne (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) and Whitney LeMay (Woodbridge, Va./Home School) earned first and second place finishes on Sunday in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Snowboard Bordercross and Skiercross sessions, hosted at Sugarloaf.

After Saturday's races were postponed to Sunday for two races, Horne used it to her advantage by winning both races in the women's jams 18-22 age group.

LeMay had a solid afternoon as well by taking second place in both of the women's open races.

With the UMaine-Farmington snowboard season coming to a close on Sunday, the Beavers had at least one member earn a medal in every race in 2016.
