Ski Team Tops Maine at USCSA Event Held at Titcomb

WEST FARMINGTON, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington Ski Team won the overall team competition at the United States Collegiate Skiing and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Reynolds Division event held at Titcomb Mountain.

Alex Rose and Samuel Ricker finished as the top two racers in the Men's Giant Slalom for the third straight race. Rose earned the top spot with a combined time of 1:09:24. Ricker was a second behind Rose with a total time of 1:10:63. Alex Stevens earned a top ten finish by placing eighth (1:16:16).

The team topped the University of Maine by five seconds. The Beavers finished with a total time of 3:36:03 while the Black Bears completed the event with a time of 3:41:45.

In the Women's Slalom, Lindsey Jacques finished in second place behind Bates' Avril Dunleavy. Jacques posted a time of 1:20:36 whereas Dunleavy earned the first place finish with a time of 1:13:61.

UMaine-Farmington returns the mountain on Sunday as the team travels to Sugarloaf.
