Beavers place four among slalom finishers at USCSA Nationals

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – University of Maine at Farmington senior David Berthiaume continued to lead the men's ski team at the United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships, placing 44th in Friday's slalom competition on Whiteface Mountain.

Berthiaume posted a combined time of 1:54.90, the top UMaine-Farmington combined time of the day.

Geoff Ballou was second among UMF finishers with a 56th place finish in a combined time of 2:09.70. Sean McCoy (2:18.08) and Sebastien Dumont (2:23.50) placed 61st and 63rd respectively.

Competition at the 2014 USCSA National Championships concludes on Saturday with the Nordic team sprint race.
