Rose and Jacques pace UMF at Titcomb slalom event

WEST FARMINGTON, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington junior Alex Rose and senior David Berthiaume again posted 1-2 finishes for the Beavers at a USCSA men's slalom event hosted by UMaine-Farmington on Saturday at Titcomb Mountain.

Rose posted runs of 34.65 and 39.95 for a combined time of 1:14.60. Bethiaume was not far off that pace with his combined time of 1:19.68, with runs of 37.22 and 42.46.

Geoff Ballou and Jeremy Demers were the only other Farmington men to complete the course, turning in combined times of 1:27.41 and 1:36.46 respectively.

In the women's slalom race, Lindsay Jacques led the field with a combined time of 1:23.81, with her runs of 39.29 and 44.52. Marisa Hanning finished sixth with her combined time of 1:48.88.

Both UMaine-Farmington ski teams complete their USCSA regular seasons next weekend with Thompson Division slalom and giant slalom events at Sunday River.
