UMF Alpine ski teams claim Reynolds titles

MARS HILL, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's Alpine ski teams won their respective Reynolds Division championships today as the regular season concluded at Big Rock Ski Resort.

The Beavers qualified for and are scheduled to compete in the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference Championships next weekend at Sugarloaf USA. The regional championships feature the top 15 teams in four divisions.

Jacquelyn Reis (Falmouth, Maine) and Josh Cooley (Vassalboro, Maine) won the individual titles on the women's and men's side, respectively.

In Saturday's racing, the Beavers boasted individual winners in boths races.

On the women's side, Reis claimed the victory followed by the University of Maine's Erin Paradis and UMF's Marisa Hanning (Hebron, Maine). It was the first time Hanning has reached the podium this season.

On the men's side, Alex Rose (Fayette, Maine) earned the win followed by Bates College 'B's Austin Guyette and UMF's Sam Ricker (Turner, Maine).
