  • Ricker recognized as ECSC Coach of the Year

    The University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's skiing coach Harry Ricker was recently honored as the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference Coach of the Year at the ECSC's annual banquet. ECSC features more than 40 United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association participating programs in four divisions (Reynolds, McBrine, Thompson, MacConnell) in the Northeast. Ricker, who has coached the Beavers the past six seasons, was nominated by caucuses from the Reynolds and McBrine divisions and selected by the ECSC Board of Directors.
  • Keough continues competition at USCSA National Championships

    University of Maine at Farmington's Katie Keough (Cumberland, Maine) continued competition at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association National Championships on Thursday and Friday at Sun Valley. Keough finished tied for 17th in the boardercross and 20th in the slopestyle. The junior, who won a national championship in the women's giant slalom Tuesday, was competing in the halfpipe today to close out competition.

    The University of Maine at Farmington Alpine and Nordic ski teams competed at the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference Championships this weekend. The downhill competititons took place at Waterville Valley, while the cross-country races were held at the Ethan Allen Biathlon Center in Jericho, Vt.

    The University of Maine at Farmington Alpine skiers finished the Reynolds Division regular season this past weekend at Sunday River and Sugarloaf. The Beavers' Alpine, Nordic and snowboard competitors are scheduled to compete at the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference Championships this weekend at Waterville Valley.

    The University of Maine at Farmington Alpine skiers are scheduled to close out their regular season this weekend. The Beavers will be part of a large field at Sunday River on Saturday in a clash of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association Reynolds and Thompson divisions. Racing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
  • First Nordic win for women, Keough continues snowboard success

    The University of Maine at Farmington women's Nordic skiing team claimed its first-ever victory on Saturday at the University of Maine. Headlined by Caitlin Dunn (Kennebunk, Maine), Jacquelyn Reis (Bethel, Maine) and Meghan Donovan (Westborough, Mass.), the Beavers won the skate sprint race.
  • Alpine men claim UMF Carnival victory

    The University of Maine at Farmington hosted the UMF Carnival this weekend with slalom racing at Titcomb Mountain and Lost Valley. The two-day carnival featured 14 men's and 13 women's teams for the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association Reynolds and McBrine divisions.
  • Men's Alpine skiing first, women second at Sugarloaf

    The University of Maine at Farmington men's Alpine ski team raced to a first-place finish and the women placed second in their respective Reynolds Division giant slalom competitions today at Sugarloaf. The Beavers are scheduled to return to action Saturday at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington with joint competition between the Reynolds and McBrine divisions of the USCSA. Racing begins at 4 p.m.
  • Alpine racers open season at Saddleback

    The University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's Alpine ski teams started their respective seasons at Saddleback with Reynolds Division giant slalom racing today. The Beavers are tabbed to return to the slopes Sunday at Sugarloaf.
