Johnson, Vt. – UMaine-Farmington's softball team swept Northern Vermont-Johnson on Thursday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) doubleheader.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One (W, 14-0)
- Kailyn Hill was spectacular in the circle with 11 strikeouts and one hit in five innings of work.
- Alyssa Dillan went 3-3 at the plate with four RBI and one run as Melissa Veitch went 3-4 with two RBI and two runs.
- Makayla Wilson went 2-4 with two RBI alongside Haley Holt who also went 2-4 with two RBI.
- Kayleigh Oberg went 1-3 with an RBI, a walk and a run.
- Emily Marshall threw five innings for the Badgers, giving up 14 hits and 14 earned runs with three stakeouts.
- Kaitlin Boucher went 1-1 for the lone hit for the Badgers.
Game Two (W, 11-0)
- Brianna McGrath threw five innings of shutout ball for the Beavers while striking out eight with two hits given up.
- Hope Faulkingham went 2-2 with one RBI and three runs as Broghan Gagnon went 1-2 with one RBI and three runs.
- Alyssa Dillan, Melissa Veitch, and Bailey Robbins each notched one RBI.
- Nicole Mooney went five innings for the Badgers, giving up eight hits with eight earned runs.
- Emily Marshall went 1-2 as Kaitlin Boucher also went 1-2.
