Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington fell in their last regular season home game to Maine Maritime by a score of 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) showdown on Bob Leib Field.

The Mariners outshot the Beavers 13-10 as the Beavers had four shots in the first and six in the second half while the Mariners had six shots in the first and seven in the second. The Mariners also led in saves with four and corner kicks with six.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Early in the first half, Matthew Caron drew a foul on Andrew Longhurst on a breakaway which drew a red card from the officials. Caron had a free kick which found the back of the back of the net. About five minutes later, Caron scored his second of the game on another breakaway.
Early in the first half, Caron scored a third to give him a hat trick and make the score 3-0. Just over a minute later, Dylan Labun scored the Mariners fourth goal of the game from about eight yards out.
Midway through the second half, Evan Backus got in on the action with a goal of his own at the 76:40 mark with an assist from Dalton Moore.
The Beavers will travel to New England College on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. start time.
