Bangor, Maine – UMaine Farmington fell to Husson University on Tuesday night in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action by a score of 2-0 on Boucher Field.
The Beavers move to 3-3 on the year and 1-1 in the NAC as the Eagles move to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the NAC.
IN THE BOX
- Husson outshot the Beavers 10-8 while each team made four saves during the contest.
- Farmington had zero corner kicks as the Eagles finished with five.
- Matt Wilson had four saves with two goals against. Cody Gross had four saves on four shots on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Late in the first half, Rod Ghanayem scored with just under 10 minutes to go in the half. Nick Whitehead was awarded the assist. The Beavers had a chance just two minutes later when Nick Marshall took a shot from the top of the box but it was blocked by an Eagle defender.
Biwe Aden took a shot at the start of the second half that hit the cross bar. The ball bounced back out and Husson took it the length of the field to score their second goal.
Each team went back and forth after that as the Beavers were unable to get pressure.
The Beavers will be on the road this Saturday when they head to UMaine Presque Isle.
