Alumni Spotlight with Taylor Lockhart

Farmington, Maine -- Taylor Lockhart '18 was a dedicated four-year member of the Beaver Baseball team. In his senior season, he played in all 34 games for the Beavers, including two North Atlantic Conference (NAC) playoff matchups against Castleton University and New England College. Taylor graduated with a degree in Political Science and is working as an assistant baseball coach at Hampden-Sydney College.

Why did you choose Farmington?

I originally wanted to be a teacher and Farmington gave me the chance to keep on playing baseball.

What are your greatest memories at Farmington?

Baseball and making lifelong friends.

How has Farmington helped you in your life after college?

I wouldn't have the coaching job that I have without UMF and Coach Bessey.

What advice would you give to current student-athletes at Farmington?

Enjoy it. In the moment you might not realize it, but you will miss it. Don't take anything for granted.
