Beavers Split Doubleheader with Thomas College

Waterville, Maine – UMaine-Farmington split a doubleheader with Thomas College on Thursday night on the campus of Colby College.

Game One (L, 3-2)

  • Chase Malloy led the Beavers at the plate by going 4-4 with a triple and three singles while Nick Attaliades-Ryan went 2-3.
  • Riley Chickering went 1-4 with an RBI while Tyler Flayhan notched the other RBI.
  • Nate Pushard went five innings, giving up six hits and two earned runs with six strikeouts while Justin Rodrigue went one inning, walking two and striking out one.
  • Dominic Esposito went 1-4 with one RBI while Darren Kelly went 1-2 with an RBI.
  • Dylan Copeland notched the win for the Terriers after going seven innings, giving up nine hits and two earned runs with three strikeouts.

Game Two (W, 6-0)

  • Tyler Flayhan went 3-4 with three RBI's and a run while Chase Malloy went 1-2 with two RBI's and two walks.
  • Riley Bartell went 3-3 with two runs as Nick Attaliades-Ryan went 2-3 with a run. Kevin Cater went 1-2 with two runs and an RBI.
  • Gavin Arsenault went seven strong innings, giving up only two hits and struck out 10.
  • John Villanueva and Darren Kelly each notched a hit while Matt Rutherford went 1.1 innings, giving up four hits and four runs. Brandon Hubbard went 2.2 innings, giving up five hits and two runs.


The Beavers head to New England College for a four-game series this weekend starting at 1:00 on Saturday.
