Beavers Split Double-Header with Cazenovia

Auburndale, Fla. – UMaine-Farmington split with Cazenovia in their second double-header of the Florida trip with a victory in game one (5-3) and fell in game two (5-0).

Game One (W,5-3)


  • Riley Chickering led the Beavers in hitting with three hits in three trips while Nick Attaliades-Ryan went 2-3 with three runs.
  • Kevin Carter went 1-2 with two RBI's while Chase Malloy finished game one 2-3 with a run.
  • Gavin Arsenault started on the mound for the Beavers, throwing seven strong innings, giving up seven hits, three earned runs with 10 strikeouts and one walk.
  • Dan Freese went 2-3 for Cazenovia with two runs and an RBI while Nick Horton went 1-3
  • Nick Castrello finished 1-2 with a walk while Bobby Antonacci also had a hit and a run.
  • Kamm Cassidy threw six innings, giving up 10 hits, five earned runs and striking out seven.

Game Two (L, 5-0)

  • Brett Elliot started on the mound for the Beavers on a windy afternoon going 4.2 thirds innings, giving up five hits, four earned runs with a walk and two strikeouts.
  •  Chase Malloy threw one inning giving up one earned run and three hits while Ethan Nash threw a third of an inning.
  • Isaiah Ausby threw a complete game no-hitter for Cazenovia, going seven innings and striking out seven with one walk.
  • Chris Schad went 2-3 with two home runs and three RBI's while Bobby Antonacci also hit a home run.


The Beavers will take Wednesday off and be back in action on Thursday to face off against Utica at 9:00 am.
