Beavers Close Out Season Against Bates

Farmington, Maine – UMaine Farmington fell in their final regular season game to Bates College by a score of 14-1 on Thursday night at Hippach Field.


The Beavers finished the season with a 5-29 overall record and 5-19 in the North Atlantic Conference while the Bobcats are 15-13 overall and 7-5 in the conference.

How it Happened

Mark Leahy started on the mound for the Beavers, going 5.2 innings, giving up six hits, five runs with three of them earned with two walks and two strikeouts. Nate Pushard threw 1.1 innings, giving up four hits with four runs, one earned and two strikeouts. Patrick Fallon threw one third of an inning, giving up five hits, five runs with three of them earned. Ryan Pratt and Ryan Camire finished out the game, going a total 1.2 innings, giving up three hits with two strikeouts.

Gage Cote went 2-4 with a homerun and the only RBI of the game. Jimmy Parks also went 2-4 while Derek Bowen, Mark Leahy, Jordan Croteau and Tyler Flayhan each tallied one hit.

Robert Jones started on the mound for the Bobcats, going seven innings strong, giving up the homerun and striking out three. Andrew Freeman threw 1.1 innings while Jake Shapiro threw the final two thirds.

Dan Trulli went 3-5 with two runs and an RBI while Leo Watson went 2-4 with three RBIs and two runs. Asher Macdonald went 1-4 with three RBIs along with Will Sylvia went 2-5 with three RBIs and one run. Brendan Fox went 2-5 with a walk and three runs.
