University of Maine at Farmington Athletics Hall of Fame

The University of Maine at Farmington Athletics Hall of Fame was founded to perpetuate the memory of those persons who have brought distinction, honor and excellence to UMF through their accomplishments in athletics.

The UMF Athletics Hall of Fame Committee seeks nominations for eligible and deserving former Beaver student-athletes, coaches, administrators and/or significant service/supporters for induction into the university’s Athletics Hall of Fame.

A pool of potential candidates identified by the committee member’s research efforts is continuously under consideration. Nominations of potential inductees are also sought for further consideration and possible addition to the pool. The Hall of Fame event is now held biennially in the fall and candidates selected for induction should be identified more than a year in advance. Inductees have their names displayed prominently on a perpetual plaque adorning the lobby of Dearborn Gymnasium.
