Clarissa Thompson is the Faculty Athletic Representative for the University of Maine at Farmington.
A faculty member in the Secondary Education program, she also serves as UMF’s Early College Campus Coordinator. Currently, she is the academic adviser for all of the first year students in Secondary Education, as well as some upper class students. Many of these students are scholar-athletes, competing in a wide variety of sports, and across all seasons. Prior to becoming a college professor, she taught high school English for ten years. Her courses span a few areas, all focused on preparing prospective teachers for their careers in schools and classrooms.
Dr. Thompson is also the parent of a Division III soccer player.
