Parents Guide for your college-bound student:

Incoming students have been given a username and password which they will need to get into myCampus. It is imperative that they activate their Maine.edu email to access all the latest information. Preparticipation information is available below and on myCampus. 

Steps for preparticipation

1 - Confirm your eligibility

First-year student-athletes need to be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours. All others can find more information on myCampus.

2 - Complete the online Forms (Intent to Participate, Code of Conduct, and NCAA Forms) 

(THE ONLY WAY TO ACCESS THESE FORMS IS THROUGH A LINK PROVIDED BY EMAIL FROM THEIR COACH. THEY SHOULD CONTACT THEIR RESPECTIVE COACH IF THEY NEED ASSISTANCE WITH THIS LINK). For coaches contact information, please visit our directory.

3 - Submit the required medical forms

4 - Residence Life - IF LIVING ON CAMPUS be sure to complete ALL required housing and medical forms by due dates. LINK HERE

5 - Commuters/Student-Athletes Living off-campus  - COMING SOON - Information regarding COVID-19 Testing before classes begin.

Change in Plans: If a coach was expecting you to try out and you have further questions or updates, you should let him/her know directly ASAP.

 

Key Dates for 2020-21

Friday, July 31st (August 1st)All pre-participation forms for all anticipated student-athletes for all sports are due.

Monday, August. 31st – First Day of classes for the Fall 2020 Semester

Dates for first meetings/practices for fall non-traditional and winter sports seasons will be posted later.

Fall non-trad: baseball, women’s lacrosse, and softball will meet the first week and identify when practice will begin.

Winter (basketball, ski/snowboard as well, as track and field, will also meet early in the semester and identify pre-season conditioning opportunities and when practice begins.)
