Ranquist named to MWBCA All-Rookie Team

FARMINGTON, Maine -- University of Maine at Farmington freshman guard Lindsay Ranquist (Owls Head, Maine) was honored on the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Rookie Team this afternoon. MWBCA release

Ranquist appeared in 25 games for the Beavers, starting 22 of them. The freshman was third on the team in scoring at 8.5 points per game and rebounding at 5.0 per contest.

A two-time MWBCA Rookie of the Week, Ranquist was joined on the All-Rookie Team by MWBCA Rookie of the Year Molly Brown (Bates College), Rebekah Campbell (Maine Maritime), Sara Binkhorst (Bowdoin College) and Kelly Coleman (University of New England).

Courtney Cochran of the University of Southern Maine was honored as the MWBCA Player of the Year, while Bowdoin's Adrienne Shibles was recognized as the MWBCA Coach of the Year.

The Beavers finished their season at 10-15.
