2012 UMF softball schedule now available
FARMINGTON -- The 2012 University of Maine at Farmington softball schedule is set to begin March 26-29 with an eight-game swing through Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
In 2011, the Beavers finished their season at 12-19 and reached the North Atlantic Conference championship game for the third time in the last four seasons.
UMF is scheduled to face Gordon College March 26 for a twinbill at 3 p.m. to open its season. The Beavers will travel to Eastern Nazarene College (March 27), Salve Regina University (March 28) and Curry College (March 29) during an opening stretch.
The Beavers are scheduled to open NAC play March 31 with a doubleheader against Lyndon State College at Prescott Field. The twinbill is set for a 2 p.m. start. With the addition of New England College, the NAC slate features 14 games.
In addition to the early trip, UMF's non-conference docket also includes home doubleheaders against the University of Maine of Presque Isle (April 9), Colby College (April 10), Bowdoin College (April 17) and Bates College (April 18)
