Men’s lax upended at Maine Maritime

CASTINE, Maine -- Brady Harrison recorded a career-high 10 points to help Maine Maritime Academy knock off the University of Maine at Farmington, 20-4, in a North Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse game Wednesday. The Mariners remained unbeaten in the NAC at 3-0, 3-4 overall, while the Beavers dropped to 0-3, 0-4.
Harrison led Maine Maritime's offense with eight goals and added two assists. Nicholas Betti netted six shots, Bronson Guimond two and Nick Snelling, Peter Moore, Cameron Wyman and Tim Grant one each. Snelling dished out a game-best six assists, Guimond, Harrison, Moore and Wyman each had two helpers and Grant and A.J. Larrabee one each.
James Wilgus stopped seven shots and improved to 2-1 this season for the Mariners.
TC Peters, Casey Wrigley, Jake Linkletter and Cameron McAllister all scored for Farmington. Mike Foley recorded two assists and Brandon Melville had one for the Beavers. Ben Altmaier stopped 10 shots in goal for UMF.
Maine Maritime outshot UMaine-Farmington, 49-23, and had a 69-38 advantage in ground balls.
UMaine-Farmington's next game comes up on Saturday, April 5, when the Beavers will host Lyndon State in a NAC contest played at Hannaford Field at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
