Beavers Win Fifth Conference Game in a Row

Johnson, Vt. – UMaine-Farmington men's basketball team was led by Issac Witham who finished with 20 points in a 70-60 victory over Johnson St. on Saturday afternoon.

IN THE BOX

  • Issac Witham led all scorers with 20 points on 3-8 from the field and 12-12 at the free throw line to go along with two rebounds and three assists.
  • Bill Ruby added 18 points after going 6-10 from the field and six free throws while adding a double-double with 13 rebounds.
  • Senior Eric Berry added 15 points with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
  • Vernon Slater finished with 14 for the Badgers on 5-8 shooting from the floor while Shakeel Irvin added 11 points.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • The Beavers shot 40.8% from the floor (20-49), 13.3% from behind the arc (2-15) and 84.8% at the free throw line (28-33). UMF notched 46 rebounds, 10 assists, six steals and two blocks.
  • Johnson St. shot 35.9% on the day (23-64), 28% from behind the arc and went 7-15 at the free throw line. The Badgers tallied 31 total rebounds, 18 assists and 10 steals and five blocks.
