Lyndonville, VT – UMaine Farmington split a twin bill against Lyndon St. on Wednesday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) on Skip Pound Field with a win in game one (5-2) and fell in game two (2-1).
The Beavers move to 4-21 overall and 4-12 in conference play while the Hornetsb of Lyndon St. move to 16-15 overall and 10-10 in the NAC.
Riley Chickering lead the Beavers offensively with two hits in three trips with two RBI's and two runs. Chad Snowman went 2-3 with an RBI while Trevor Hisler went 2-4. The Beavers tallied nine hits in 29 at-bats. Nate Pushard went four innings, giving up six hits and one run with two strikeouts. Patrick Fallon was awarded the win after going two innings, giving up one hit. Chad Snowman came in to close the door in the seventh, giving up one hit and one run.
Andre Eason went 3-4 for the Hornets while Ben Rollins went 2-3. Devon Rollins went 1-4 with an RBI along with Jake Perkins who went 1-3 with an RBI.
Zak Johnson threw six innings, giving up eight hits and four earned runs with a walk and a strikeout. Dennis Farnham threw one inning, giving up one hit.
Jeff Williams threw seven innings for the Hornets, allowing only four hits and one earned run with five strike outs. Tyler Flayhan went 1-3 with the only RBI of the game for the Beavers. Mark Leahy, Derek Bowen and Nick Attaliades-Ryan each tallied a hit.
