Beavers Fall in Non-Conference Action to UMaine

ORONO, Maine -  UMaine Farmington fell to UMaine Orono on Wednesday in a mid-week match up by a score of 12-2.

The division I team finished the day with 12 runs on 13 hits and one error while the Beavers finished with two runs on eight hits and four errors.

Freshman Ryan Pratt got the call in the DH slot today and finished with one hit in one at-bat with an RBI.

Jake Bessey added a hit to go along with Derek Bown, Jimmy Parks, Taylor Lockhart, Peter Douchette, Trevor Hisler and Anthony Bianco.

Ethan Nash got the nod on the mound, throwing three innings, giving up six hits, four earned runs with two walks and a homerun. Patrick Fallon threw 1.2 innings, giving up four hits, six runs with zero earned runs. Gavin Arsenault and Mark Leahy each threw an inning with giving up only a hit each.

Isiaah Boria came in for the eighth, gave up on big hit that went over the wall for a homerun.

 The Beavers scored their two runs in the eighth when Ryan Pratt signled to right to score Tyler Flayhan followed by Jake Bessey grounding out to first to score Anthony Bianco.
