Seven UMF student-athletes earn NAC All-Academic honors
FARMINGTON, Maine -- Seven University of Maine at Farmington fall student-athletes were named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team as announced by the NAC this evening.

Seniors field hockey player Monica Beuth (Wyoming, R.I.) and women's soccer player Abbey Gilbert (Wilton, Maine) headlined the UMF honorees along with juniors field hockey player Emma Daniel (Acton, Mass.), women's soccer player Krista Morrison (Calais, Maine), men's golfer Ben Sandy (Winslow, Maine), women's cross country runner Salena Sykes (Island Pond, Vt.) and women's volleyball player Whitney Walls (Bar Harbor, Maine).
Seventy-two student-athletes from NAC member institutions who participated in a fall conference sport received recognition. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing, have competed a minimum two years of varsity competition at their institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.
