Pratt named Maine Field Hockey
Hall of Fame inductee
University of Maine at Farmington assistant athletics director and field hockey and softball coach Cyndi Pratt is tabbed to be inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Hall of Fame on Dec. 6 at the Augusta Civic Center.
Pratt is being inducted for her performance as a player at Mt. Blue High School and the University of New Hampshire. Story

Women's cross country at New Englands
The University of Maine at Farmington women's cross country team finished its season with a 23rd-place finish at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships at Twin Brook Recreational Area today.
MIT and Middlebury College tied at the top with 63 points each followed by Williams College (99), Amherst College (116) and Wesleyan (159). The Beavers totaled 734 points in the 47-team field. Story

Men's cross country at New Englands
The University of Maine at Farmington men's cross country team closed out its season with a 36th-place finish at the NCAA Division III New England Championships at Twin Brook Recreational Area today.
Williams College won the event with 53 points with Amherst College (104), Keene State College (132), Brandeis University (145) and Bowdoin College (153) rounding out the top five. Farmington collected 1071 points in the 48-team field. Story

Women's basketball picked
second in the NAC
The University of Maine at Farmington women's basketball team was chosen second in the North Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the NAC today.
The Beavers are scheduled to open their season on Nov. 20-21 when they host the Dunkin' Donuts Tip-Off Tournament at Dearborn Gymnasium. On Nov. 20, the opening games will feature University of Southern Maine vs. Curry College at 5:30 p.m. and Farmington vs. University at Maine at Presque Isle at 7:30 p.m. Story

third in the NAC
The University of Maine at Farmington men's basketball team was selected third in the North Atlantic Conference Preseason Poll as announced by the conference today.
Farmington is slated to open its season at Amherst College's Ken Wright Memorial Invitational on Nov. 20 and 21. The Beavers are scheduled to face the nationally-ranked Lord Jeffs on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. Story
