University of Maine at Farmington Club Sports

Club sports are very popular at the University of Maine at Farmington with programs often competiting regionally and nationally.

While many club sports at UMF have long traditions, the offerings vary due to the changing interest, skill and commitment of the student participants. Currently, most of our club sports are highly organized and also operate under the rules and regulations of their own sports' national, regional and local governing bodies.

There is opportunity, however, for less structured club sports or new club sports to emerge. So if you don't see a particular club sport that interests you, consider starting a new one — that's how each UMF club sport got started in the first place.
