Cross country hosts UMF Invitational
FARMINGTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's cross country team hosted the UMF Invitational today at Mt. Blue High School.
Bowdoin College captured the women's competition with 20 points followed by the Beavers (38) and Unity College (85).
Bowdoin's Anna Ackerman was the top finisher at 21:41.76 with Farmington's Emily Farley (Bernard, ME) finishing as the runner-up at 22:00.53. Amanda Gunter (Farmington, ME) and Emily Weston (Rumford, ME) also cracked the top 10 for the Beavers in sixth and eighth, respectively. Jocelyn Plog (Avon, ME) at 11th in 23:37.72 and Meagan Champagne (Littleton, NH) at 15th in 24:04.33 closed out Farmington's scoring.
Farmington is scheduled to return to action next Saturday when it travels to St. Joseph's College.
