Laflin honored by MWBCA
FARMINGTON -- University of Maine at Farmington junior forward Caitlyn Laflin (Farmingdale, ME) was named to the All-State First Team by the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association today.
Laflin, who is a three-time All-North Atlantic Conference choice, averaged 17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She netted her 1,000th career point during the season.
Bates College's Val Beckwith was honored as the MWBCA Player of the Year with Colby College's Rachael Mack garnering MWBCA Rookie of the Year honors. Bowdoin College's Adrienne Shibles was recognized as the MWBCA Coach of the Year.
The Beavers finished their season at 15-11.
