NAC announces women's basketball postseason seedings

FARMINGTON -- The North Atlantic Conference announced the seedings for the women's basketball tournament this evening.

The Beavers (12-12, 9-5) finished as the third seed in the NAC East and is slated to travel to Becker College (15-10, 9-6) for a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Becker is the No. 2 seed from the NAC West.

During the regular season, Farmington defeated Becker 55-33 on Jan. 26 in Dearborn Gymnasium.

Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed on Tuesday. Quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed for semifinal contests on Friday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Teams are re-seeded entering the semifinal round based on similar seeding criteria. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday 2 p.m. for the NAC title. Game times are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
