Laflin garners NAC weekly honors

FARMINGTON -- Sophomore forward Caitlyn Laflin (Farmingdale, ME) was named the North Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference today.

Laflin led the Beavers to a 2-1 week, averaging 19 points and 7 rebounds. The sophomore scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 80-70 win over Plymouth State and tallied 23 points with three blocked shots in an 83-69 victory over Maine Maritime.

This is the second time this season Laflin has been honored by the NAC. Last season, Laflin earned the NAC Rookie of the Year.

The Beavers (5-7) are scheduled to visit Johnson State on Friday with the men's game at 6 p.m. and the women to follow.
