Busque garners weekly honors

FARMINGTON -- University of Maine at Farmington freshman guard Ashley Busque (Belgrade, ME) was named the North Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today.

Busque was also honored as the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Co-Rookie of the Week.

Busque led the team in scoring (15 points) and rebounding (eight boards) in the Beavers' loss to conference foe Thomas on Saturday. She scored her points on 4 of 7 shooting, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc, and 4 of 4 from the foul line. She also had an assist and a steal.

This is the second time this season Busque has been recognized as the NAC Rookie of the Week.

The Beavers are scheduled to visit Maine Maritime Academy on Tuesday.
