UNITY -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team defeated Unity College 3-1 (25-14, 25-17, 19-25, 25-18) in non-conference action tonight.

The Beavers (7-7) are scheduled to host their alumnae game on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Dearborn Gymnasium.

Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) paced Farmington with 18 kills, seven digs and three total blocks (two solo, one assist), while Jenna Rowan (Kittery, ME) chipped in eight kills and 13 digs. Katie Allen (Bucksport, ME) and Whitney Walls (Bar Harbor, ME) each dished out 13 assists in the win with Walls collected six aces and Allen four. Caitlin Flaherty (Plymouth, MA) also had 13 digs.
