The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team kicked off its season with a 3-1 (18-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-23) loss to Husson University in non-conference action tonight at Dearborn Gymnasium.

The Beavers (0-1) and the Eagles (1-4) are both scheduled to compete in the Colby Invitational this weekend.

Hannah Olstad (Farmington, NH) totaled 11 kills for Husson, while Marion Kish (Wallingford, CT) accumulated 19 assists, 13 digs and seven service aces.

Jenna Rowan (Kittery, ME) paced the Beavers with eight kills and 14 digs.
