Women's volleyball tips Thomas

WATERVILLE -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team grabbed a 3-2 win (25-8, 12-25, 25-9, 20-25, 16-14) over Thomas College in its North Atlantic Conference opener tonight.

Danielle O'Brien (Calais, ME) collected 10 kills and 26 digs to pace the Beavers (3-7, 1-0), who are slated to host Green Mountain College and Castleton State College in NAC action Saturday. Caitlin Flaherty (Pembroke, MA) supplied 18 digs and eight service aces in the win with Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) adding nine kills, Jenna Rowan (Kittery, ME) eight kills and 13 digs and Lindsey Hansen (Gorham, ME) eight kills and 12 assists.
