Women's volleyball falls in NAC semis
The third-seeded University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team was ousted from the NAC Tournament today with a 3-1 semifinal loss (25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19) to No. 2 Maine Maritime Academy today at Husson University.
The Beavers finished their season at 10-11, while the Mariners ran their record to 18-8 and defeated Husson for the NAC title this afternoon.
Danielle O'Brien (Calais, ME) posted eight kills, eight digs and six total blocks (two solo, four assists) for the Beavers. Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) and Emily Beebe (Bristol, RI) each added six kills, while Lindsay Hansen (Gorham, ME) doled out 23 assists.
O'Brien was named to the NAC All-Tournament Team.
