Mitchell garners NAC honors
FARMINGTON -- University of Maine at Farmington freshman right-side hitter Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) was named the North Atlantic Conference Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today.
Mitchell helped the Beavers in a 2-1 weekend with 23 kills, eight errors in 55 attempts (.273 hitting percentage) with 13 total blocks (three solo, 10 assists).
This is the second time this season that Mitchell has received the honor.
