Mitchell receives NAC rookie honors
FARMINGTON -- Freshman right side hitter Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) was named the North Atlantic Conference Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today.
Mitchell helped the Beavers in a 1-2 week. Mitchell collected 27 kills and 35 digs on the week, including a 12-kill, 13-dig effort in a 3-2 loss to St. Joseph's.
Farmington (2-7) is scheduled to return to action Saturday when the Beavers play host to Green Mountain College and Castleton State College. Matches are slated for 10 a.m. and noon.
