Women's volleyball downs Lyndon State

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – Jenna Rowan (Kittery, ME) collected nine kills and six aces to lead the University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team to a 3-0 match victory over Lyndon State College in North Atlantic Conference women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.

The Beavers upped their regular-season record to 9-10 overall and 4-2 in the NAC. Farmington awaits the NAC Tournament pairings to find out where and when they will be playing. The Hornets finished at 7-17 (0-6).

Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) chipped in 11 kills for the Beavers while teammates Caitlin Flaherty (Pembroke, MA) and Danielle O'Brien (Calais, ME) added 27 assists and 11 digs, respectively.

For Lyndon, Kayla Brobst and Michelle Petty had five kills each and Morgan Reilly earned 10 assists. Brobst also had three blocks in the match for the Lady Hornets.
