Women's volleyball bests Unity
UNITY -- The University of Maine at Farmington handled Unity College 3-1 in women's volleyball action on Tuesday. Game scores went 30-10, 30-13, 26-30, 30-26.
The Beavers improved to 6-9 on the season and are scheduled to host the UMF Invitational (schedule) on Friday and Saturday at Dearborn Gymnasium.
Meagan Dube (Lewiston, ME) led the Beavers with 14 kills with Danielle O'Brien (Calais, ME) adding 12 kills. Caitlin Flaherty (Pembroke, MA) paced the team in digs (nine) and service aces (six), while sharing setting duties with Katie Allen (Bucksport, ME). Allen made 11 assists and Flaherty nine.
